Created by the developers of the MCAT exam, the CARS Diagnostic Tool includes 28 passage sets with questions to help you improve your critical analysis and reasoning skills. This product allows you to:

• Watch video walkthroughs of how to approach answering two example CARS passage sets.
• View the answers and the test developers’ solutions right away or later.
• Read explanations for all answer choices in addition to explanations for how each question assesses a critical analysis and reasoning skill.
• Highlight content from the passages and questions, and review your highlighted content later using the built-in highlight tool.
• Add and review flags and notes to your answered questions.
• View score reports to help you evaluate your performance in each skill category.
• Compare your performance on every attempt of the passage sets by comparing all your previous score reports. Each MCAT Official Prep product allows an unlimited number of attempts.
• Review strategies to help you improve your critical analysis and reasoning skills.
• The CARS Diagnostic includes passages and questions that are not included in previous products. The CARS Diagnostic Tool has 28 passages compared to 21 passages found in the CARS Question Pack Vol. 1 and 22 passages in the CARS Question Pack Vol. 2.

Practice products (i.e. Question Packs) are mobile optimized and accessible via browser on your mobile or tablet device. The practice products are fully functional using a browser on a mobile or tablet device although the experience may vary slightly to accommodate the smaller screen sizes. The full-length products require a desktop or laptop browser.

How do I access products?

Access online products at the MCAT Official Prep Hub:

1. Visit www.aamc.org/mcatprep.  
2. Click on the “MCAT Official Prep Hub” on the right side of the page.
3. Sign in using your AAMC username and password.

What is the difference between the recently released bundles and the bundles from previous years?

New products may be added to the bundles, but the products previously included do not change year after year.

What happens when my products expire?

A one-year subscription is valid for 365 days from the purchase date. You can buy an extension anytime your product is active or within 60 days after expiration, to extend your product by 90 or 180 days. Learn more about extension options and eligibility. If you purchase a product again, all previously completed activity, including score reports, will still be available. We can't place active products on hold.  

How can I tell if the MCAT Official Prep products currently sold are the same products I already purchased?

The MCAT Official Prep products available have not been changed since their publication. You will be able to identify when new MCAT Official Prep products are introduced because of the new title, detailed description, or edition.

Are these products the same products offered by test prep companies?

AAMC MCAT Official Prep products may be included in some test prep courses. Check with the course administrator before purchasing this product, as refunds and exchanges are not offered.

Do you offer any free products?

The AAMC offers free MCAT Official Prep products and study resources. The AAMC Fee Assistance Program includes free MCAT Prep products in their benefit package.
